Chapter 5 Page 25

A duality.

I hope everyone else is psyched about returning to Haelu's dream(?) field, because IT'S BACK. This is something that I created off-the-cuff for the comic (it wasn't included in the original draft manuscript), and I'm excited to come back to it.

This week is week 5 of our SpiderForest Comic of the Week cross-promotion. "Arbalest" is one of the featured comics (if that's how you got here, welcome!), along with these two wonderful horror(ish) fantasies:

Spare Keys for Strange Doors: Two experts in the supernatural help ordinary people with their extraordinary problems. Specialities include visitations, disappearances, compulsions, manifestations, transformations and removal of uninvited guests. (Personal note: This isn't exactly horror through and through, but it does tend to lean dark. I love the self-contained chapters and Lucy's sense of humor. Great for anyone looking for episodic tales of the supernatural.)

broken is a fantasy/horror story about a zombie kid befriending a fairy general and trying to deal with guilt, grief, and PTSD. This is complicated by eldritch abominations, a genocidal dictator, the dictator's wife, and a panic-induced exit from the last known bastion of civilization. Contains graphic violence (including suicide), body horror, and the occasional flashing image. (Personal note: This is a current favorite of mine. The character writing is really strong, and I love the currents of emotion that run through it. Great world-building, too.)
